The Amer Palace is an important tourist attraction inside the Amber Fort. The fort is located a few kilometres from Jaipur and houses a number of other buildings. The palace was built by Raja Man Singh in 1600 AD. Raja Man Singh was a general in the army of the Mughal emperor Akbar.
